It's been such a long time since I have been able to blog! I have been so busy these last few months having my website redesigned to a fab new site and already in full wedding swing! I can't wait to share all the awesome things I have been up too!
First on the blog is Julia and Daniel's DC engagement at the Jefferson Memorial. DC has quickly become my backyard for engagement sessions filled with all my favorite locations. A lot of my clients always ask me whether we should do a sunrise or sunset session. I think early mornings will always be a struggle for me as I am not a 4 am riser and I am definitely working my way up there! I know early mornings can suck (especially on weekends and weekdays are no better!) but if you’re planning an engagement shoot anytime soon consider a sunrise session. Especially if you are considering DC as your location. Another bonus is that you get to avoid the crowds! Avoiding people staring at them during the shoot was actually the main reason Julia and Daniel wanted to shoot early in the morning and we had the entire Jefferson Memorial to ourselves.
Despite the fact that we met up at 8 am on a extremely cold January day, Julia and Daniel were rock stars and toughed it out with me. Julia and Daniel are really the warmest and sweetest couple you could meet. I am so excited that I started my 2017 wedding season with their engagement session and will end my 2017 wedding season with their wedding. I can't wait to photograph their wedding at Lost Creek Winery in Leesburg, VA.
